Whilst unemployment is currently low in Wales relative to past decades, economic inactivity due to ill health remains high. In recognition of this, the Welsh Government is keen to support people to stay in and return to work. Evidence suggests that the most effective way to do this is to provide support that integrates health and employment services.
This project set out to review what is known about how to do this effectively; focusing on the two most common work-limiting health conditions: mental illness and musculoskeletal disorders.
