Carys Dale

Carys joined the Wales Centre for Public Policy as a Research Apprentice in July 2026.

Prior to joining the centre, Carys worked as a public health research assistant for the Policy and International Health Directorate at Public Health Wales. During this time, she worked across multiple projects around the wider determinants of health, including loneliness and social connection in Wales. Carys also previously worked in Cardiff University’s School of Healthcare Sciences, supporting the development of a digital behaviour change intervention for people with long-term health conditions.

Carys has a BSc in Psychology from Cardiff University, and an MSc in Health Psychology from Cardiff Metropolitan University, which provided her with knowledge of how the wider determinants of health influence population well-being in the Welsh context.
