Oherwydd y diffyg amrywiaeth yn aelodau\u2019r bwrdd, nid yw llawer o fyrddau yng Nghymru yn adlewyrchu\u2019r cymunedau maent yn eu gwasanaethu.\u00a0 Ar hyn o bryd, mae ymgeiswyr Du, Asiaidd, o Leiafrifoedd Ethnig a phobl ag anabledd wedi\u2019u tangynrychioli ar fyrddau yng Nghymru.\u00a0 Yn 2018-19, er bod 6% o boblogaeth Cymru yn dod o gefndir ethnig lleiafrifol, roedd hynny\u2019n wir am 3% yn unig o\u2019r rhai a benodwyd; ac er bod gan 22% o boblogaeth Cymru anabledd, 5.1% yn unig o\u2019r rhai a benodwyd oedd yn datgan bod ganddynt anabledd.<\/p>\n

Ddechrau 2020 cyhoeddodd Llywodraeth Cymru 'Adlewyrchu Cymru wrth Redeg Cymru<\/a>\u2019, ei strategaeth ar gyfer cynyddu amrywiaeth mewn penodiadau cyhoeddus yng Nghymru. Gwneir oddeutu 100 o benodiadau bob blwyddyn gan neu ar ran gweinidogion Llywodraeth Cymru i fyrddau dros 54 o gyrff cyhoeddus. Gweledigaeth y strategaeth yw bod byrddau'r cyrff cyhoeddus hyn yn adlewyrchu amrywiaeth demograffig a nodweddion gwarchodedig pobl Cymru.<\/p>\n

Mae\u2019r heriau yn y system penodiadau cyhoeddus yn adlewyrchu\u2019r anghydraddoldeb a\u2019r gwahaniaethu mae grwpiau lleiafrifol yn eu hwynebu yn eu bywydau beunyddiol.\u00a0 O ganlyniad, mae cynyddu amrywiaeth mewn penodiadau cyhoeddus yn galw am newid systemau a diwylliant i roi sylw i\u2019r anghydraddoldeb hwn.<\/p>\n

Mae\u2019r adroddiad hwn yn crynhoi\u2019r drafodaeth mewn digwyddiad bord gron ar ddarparu gwell cefnogaeth i ymgeiswyr posibl ac \u2018agos ati\u2019 mewn grwpiau a dangynrychiolir wneud cais am benodiadau cyhoeddus yng Nghymru.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
