Yng Nghymru, yr Alban a Gogledd Iwerddon, oedran gadael yr ysgol yw 16. Mae'r syniad o godi oedran cyfranogi mewn addysg neu hyfforddiant yn ennill ei blwyf yng nghyd-destun yr Alban, yn ogystal ag yng Nghymru.<\/p>\n<p>Mae gwledydd sydd wedi codi oedran cyfranogi yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf (gan gynnwys nifer o daleithiau UDA ac Awstralia yn ogystal \u00e2 Lloegr) wedi dadlau y byddai gweithlu \u00e2 chymwysterau gwell yn gwella allbwn a pherfformiad economaidd mewn marchnad economaidd sy\u2019n dod yn fwyfwy rhyngwladol. Mewn rhai achosion, cefnogwyd hyn gan agenda gynhwysiant, gydag ymrwymiad y byddai gorfodi cyfranogiad parhaus mewn addysg (neu hyfforddiant) am gyfnodau hwy yn helpu i leihau anghydraddoldebau cymdeithasol ac economaidd.<\/p>\n<p>Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn awyddus i archwilio goblygiadau dilyn y polisi hwn yng Nghymru, gan gynnwys sut y gallai ryngweithio \u00e2'r diwygiadau parhaus i oedran ysgol a darpariaeth \u00f4l-16 yng Nghymru, ac ystyriaeth o polis\u00efau amgen sy'n canolbwyntio ar leihau gadael yr ysgol yn gynnar yn hytrach na pholis\u00efau sy'n ei gwneud yn ofynnol yn gyfreithiol i bobl ifanc barhau yn y system addysg am gyfnodau hwy.<\/p>\n<p>Er mwyn archwilio'r materion uchod, rydym wedi comisiynu adolygiad llenyddiaeth bwrdd gwaith i edrych ar dystiolaeth ryngwladol ar fuddion a heriau cynyddu'r oedran cyfranogi, yn ogystal \u00e2 pholis\u00efau amgen. Ategir hyn gan ddadansoddiad meintiol i fodelu effaith codi'r oedran cyfranogi yng Nghymru.
