{"id":21940,"date":"2026-10-09T07:45:06","date_gmt":"2026-10-09T07:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wcpp.org.uk\/?post_type=news&#038;p=21940"},"modified":"2026-10-09T08:32:52","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T08:32:52","slug":"wcpp-trio-head-down-under-to-share-knowledge-mobilisation-expertise","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/wcpp.org.uk\/cy\/news\/wcpp-trio-head-down-under-to-share-knowledge-mobilisation-expertise\/","title":{"rendered":"WCPP trio head Down Under to share knowledge mobilisation expertise"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WCPP Director of Research Professor James Downe, Director of Knowledge Mobilisation Theory and Practice Dr Hannah Durrant and Research Associate Dr Eleanor Mackillop will spend the next three weeks in Melbourne and Perth as academic Fellows with the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG).<br><br>Through their Fellowship, the three members of the WCPP research team will explore how governments can strengthen knowledge mobilisation and the systems that connect research evidence with policy and practice.<br><br>Drawing on their work at the Wales Centre for Public Policy and their experience supporting decision makers at multiple levels of policy making including the Welsh Government and local government in Wales, the Fellows will examine international leading practice in evidence-informed policymaking and public service improvement.<br><br>Their Fellowship will explore the structures, capabilities and relationships that help governments access, interpret and apply evidence more effectively, and the role knowledge-brokering organisations can play in supporting better policy outcomes.<br><br>Dr Durrant said, \u201cWe are honoured to have been awarded a prestigious ANZSOG Fellowship. We welcome the opportunity to visit the region to explore areas of mutual learning on approaches for connecting academic research and policy.
