Alisha is the Head of Research & Evaluation at Public Health Wales NHS Trust, an NHS Consultant in Public Health and holds an Honorary Professorship at the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Swansea University.
Her career spans public health research and evaluation, informing health policy and practice at a local and national level, with over 20 years’ experience across sectors. Her interests include exploring opportunities to maximising the value of data across sectors to improve health and equity, including addressing the determinants of health.
She developed the first nationally representative study on digital health and equity in Wales in 2018 https://phw.nhs.wales/topics/digital-technology-and-health/, and continues to build on the emerging field of digital public health, chairing the Faculty of Public Health AI and Digital Health Special Interest Group, and Alan Turing Clinical AI Special Interest Group.
